Grocery Savings

I use to cut coupons, but found that I was buying more things I did not need.I just thought it was a bargain because I found a coupon. Try this:

1. Only buy what you need
2. Make a list
3. Take CASH, no credit or debit card (you will end up spending more money). You cannot spend what you don't have on you right?
4. Don't pick up a grocery cart, this will help you get only what you need if you have to carry it yourself.
5. Pick up and adversitement and see what's on sale first.
6. Get a discount card to the grocery store you frequent, and make sure to keep it in your wallet.
7. When buying meat. If you buy the meat that is already cut up and in a plastic tray it make cost you $5.00, but if you find a large hunk of the same meat for .98 a lb you can take that to the butcher, he will slice it up for you for free, put it in the plastic tray and you will be charged the lower amount. You can get the lower price AND still get it cut up and prepackaged.

Food
Salad Prepackaged $4.50
Head of Lettuce $1.50

Cut/sliced Carrots $3.50
Single carrots $.50 lb

Bag of Apples $4.00
Single Apples $.55 lb

Remember to always shop at Farmer's Markets!!!!
